Presentation

The captivating sound of Julie Sévilla Fraysse’s cello explores all shores, genres, and eras, adopting various forms to elevate the substance. She embodies classical excellence, elegance, and French modernity. A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, she is also a laureate of the Banque Populaire Foundation.

After shining within the Orchestra of the Republican Guard and the Paris Opera, Julie now dedicates herself to her solo career, regularly performing solo concerts in prestigious venues across France and abroad, from the United States to Europe. She has already performed the major concertos of the repertoire with orchestra and also tours with a solo cello program centered around Bach and folk music.

Driven by a passion for chamber music, Julie has shared the stage with renowned artists. In sonata formation, she collaborates regularly with pianist Abdel Rahman El Bacha and with Anastasia Calmus on a poetry and music program titled “French Touch.” She frequently performs alongside harpist Anja Linder and violinist Laurent Korcia, presenting a program dedicated to Franz Schubert.

Julie shares her expertise through Master Classes in Malaysia at the Rhapsody Music Festival, in the United States at the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School, and in Mexico with the musicians of OSUAEH. She served as head of the strings jury at the National Music Competition of Morocco in 2023.

Convinced of the soothing power of music, Julie is also training in musical mediation and engages in social initiatives, offering compassionate concerts in Parisian hospitals and for children with disabilities. She also serves as Artistic Director at CoCreate Humanity, a community of humanitarian peers.
