Presentation
Philippe Gantchoula is a composer, music theorist and teacher. He is a laureate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in various disciplines (analysis, research in analysis, harmony, counterpoint, orchestration). He obtained his Certificat d’Aptitude de Culture Musicale and has taught analysis and composition at conservatoires in Lille, Rueil-Malmaison and Paris-Saclay.
He has a doctorate in musicology, with a thesis entitled ‘Tonality and harmonic analysis: a new theoretical approach’.
He has been a professor of analysis at the École normale de musique de Paris since 2016.
