Chamber Music and duo

“The chamber music class, as a primary discipline, is designed for students wishing to deepen their ensemble performance skills. It is open to musicians holding at least a first-cycle higher education diploma in their instrument, awarded by the École Normale de Musique de Paris or another recognized higher music institution. This rigorous program enables students to develop essential skills in interpretation, listening, and collaboration—key qualities for any chamber musician’s career.
The curriculum focuses on an in-depth study of repertoire, ranging from classical masterpieces to contemporary creations. Students are encouraged to explore various ensemble formations (duo, trio, quartet, quintet, etc.), benefiting from the guidance of specialized faculty and renowned guest artists. Masterclasses and collaborations with invited musicians further enrich their learning experience, offering a broader perspective on ensemble performance.
Each level includes complementary teaching units, some mandatory and others optional, depending on the chosen curriculum. These units cover diverse areas such as musical analysis, stylistic interpretation, chamber music history, and career management, ensuring a well-rounded education tailored to each musician’s aspirations.
Study equivalencies may be granted to students who have completed similar coursework at other institutions, providing flexibility for musicians looking to join the program while recognizing their previous academic background.
Accessible at the advanced levels, this training prepares students for diverse career paths, including ensemble musicians, independent artists, chamber musicians collaborating with major institutions, or specialized educators. With top-tier instruction and numerous concert opportunities, students gain valuable stage and performance experience, essential for thriving in the demanding field of chamber music.
