The École Normale de Musique de Paris,is organising masterclasses in partnership with Cordacor. They are led by two eminent chamber music performers, Régis Pasquier and Jean-François Heisser.
These masterclasses are aimed at high level violinists or pianists who wish to work in depth on the violin/piano duet.
They explore the extremely rich and subtle form of the violin/piano sonata from different repertoires and different points of view.
Each duet will be have to opportunity to work on at least one work from each of the classical, Romantic and French repertoires with both teachers.
These works will be determined and prepared in advance of the masterclasses.
WHERE ?
In the historic centre of Loches (Indre et Loire, 250 km from Paris)
WHEN ?
From October, 31st to November, 3rd : masterclasses in the morning and in the afternoon
On November, 3rd at 5pm and 19.30pm : 2 closing concerts at the Loches auditorium
On November, 5th at 8.00pm : concert at the Salle Cortot, as part of the Rencontres Musicales de Cortot, with the participation of Régis Pasquier and Jean-François Heisser
HOW ?
Students are housed in the Cordacor residence in the historic centre of Loches.
Pianos and practice rooms allow them to work without time constraints.
A fully-equipped kitchen is available for meals.
They have free access to the living areas of the residence (library, dining room, garden) for the duration of their stay.
FEE : 500 €
The price includes :
- The classes
- Accommodation and access to the studios. (Possible arrival before 30 October for rehearsals).
- Participation in concerts to present the work produced at the end of the masterclasses, at the Loches auditorium and the Salle Cortot.
Students are responsible for their own meals and travel (car pooling is possible).
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission is reserved for advanced students and is subject to acceptance by Régis Pasquier and Jean-François Heisser, upon registration.
Students wishing to register as a duo must submit their applications in the same file.
